Repro - 1950's Style

Fender Telecaster

-

-

An exceptionally nice reproduction of an early production Fender Telecaster.

Finished in the classic "Butterscotch" blonde with a lovely deep lacquer finish.

-

Note; This guitar was not made by Fender.

Note; This guitar was not made in the USA.

-

It was likely made in either Korea or China.

-

-

That said - the guitar looks and feels very much as the real thing.

Plays and sounds very well too.

-

-

I own and play a genuine 1990's Fender Telecaster and I can honestly say it is difficult to tell any great or noticeable difference between the two.

The most obvious difference is in how much you need to pay to get one.

-

-

This guitar has a very genuine looking Fender logo on the headstock, has a pseudo serial number on the back of the headstock, has a Fender logo on each of the tuners and has a Fender logo on the neck back plate.

All parts look like the genuine articles, but they are not.

-

The guitar is virtually new.

It has had some sharp edges dressed off the frets, a new decent set of Ernie Ball 9-42 strings fitted and a basic set-up.

The guitar still has the cellophane protection on the pick-guard, back plate and tuners.

It is fundamentally as new - but actually better than new.

--

So OK . . . . Here is the " BIG " difference.

A new made in Indonesia  "Squier" labeled Classic Vibe Telecaster costs around 330.

A new made in Mexico "Fender" labeled Ventera 50's Telecaster will cost around 700.

A new genuine USA manufactured 1950's style Fender will cost around 1600.

A new genuine USA manufactured Fender Custom Shop model nearer to 3000.
