TVR GRANTURA Mk2a

-

-

-

One of the most significant racing TVR Grantura Mk1 or Mk2 cars in British Racing history.

-

Raced Internationally in 1961 by John Woolfe including at the British Grand Prix meeting at Aintree, The British Empire Trophy meeting at Silverstone, The PECO Trophy at Brands Hatch, and was part of the TVR factory supported Birkett Six Hour Relay team at Silverstone at the end of that year.

For the 1962 the car changed hands and was driven predominantly in the Autosport series by John Baker. Including during that year was an entry in the Goodwood Sportscar meeting in September 1962.

-

This fascinating car has some years ago been re-sprayed, but never actually been restored.

Serviced and maintained by previous keepers.

It remains superbly original and very complete.

It is not a clone. It is actually the real car.

-

Was in running and driving condition and then has been dry stored since 2012.

With a good service and check over the car could be used as-is.

Or if preferred, the bodywork could be re-sprayed and the car restored to a higher standard.

-

Importantly, with an International racing pedigree and period participation at Goodwood, this car is eligible for the most prestigious events.

Comes with V5 registration document with original 1226RO number.
